Ruthven Coghill Allen, 104, of Woodford, died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at her home. Born in Caroline County, she was a real granddaughter in the Caroline Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was the widow of Floyd F. Allen. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2006, in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Fred Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery, 3461 Ladysmith Road, Ruther Glen, Va. 22546. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Va. 22407.
