Betty's maiden name was Cole. She was adopted by Garnet Atwood who was married to Luna Miles per the 1930 US census. Garnet and Luna were married on 5 Jan 1901. Considering Luna's age when Betty was born in 1926, I do not believe that Luna or Garnet were her blood parents. (still searching for that information).
