Billie Mays Cole, 80, of Goodview, formerly of Bluefield, W.Va., passed away at her home on Thursday, September 11, 1997. She was an Army veteran of World War II, and a former restaurant manager of the West Virginia Hotel in Bluefield. She was a dedicated foster grandmother for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Kenneth Cole. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and June Cole, Greensboro, N.C., Cam Cole and Donna Garst, both of Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Beth and Larry Egas, Riverdale, Ga., Linda and Kim Ray, Fairfax, Anne Lambert Cole of the home; grandchildren, Beth Sapp, Allen Cole, Jeremy Durham, Chauntel and Taylor Cole, Paul, Garrett, and Jana Egas, Matthew and Katherine Ray; great-grandchild, Keaton Sapp; stepgrandchildren, Jamie and Lauren Garst, Lily Livermore; five foster grandchildren, David, Daniel, George, C.J. and Corey. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 15, 1997, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bluefield, W.Va. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bedford County Department of Social Services Christmas Fund in memory of Billie Cole, 119 E. Main St., Bedford, Va.
