Radio Operator aboard B-17G Flying Fortress #43-38423.

Struck by anti-aircraft artillery flak over Hamburg, Germany while on a bombing mission to
the oil refinery at Misburg, and went down near Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
Three crew members were killed and six bailed out and were captured.
