Son of Lyman and Lucy Bliss Coleman

Educated in Castile Union School and DeVeaux Military Academy at Niagara Falls.

He then moved south with his uncle and entered into business.

Married Estelle Hamblen, daughter of Judge W. P. Hamblen of the 55th district court of Houston, Texas. They had five children.

Survived by three children, Mrs. Archie Johnson of Shreveport, La., Mrs. G.B. Harrison of New Orleans, La., and Miss Betty Coleman of Madisonville, La.; daughter in law, Mrs. Schuyler P. Coleman of New Orleans; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; niece Miss Malinda Hamblen of Castile; nephew Coleman P. Hamblen of New Port Richey, Florida. Sister Etta Colman Hamblen died March 1953 in Castile, N.Y.
