Maurice Coleman Carter Annesley, 91, passed from this life on Friday, October 31, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born on August 18, 1917, in Urania to the union of her parents, Hosea and Bessie Coleman.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ball with Rev. Lee Dixon officiating.

Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball under direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garland Lee Carter and James Birch Annesley; and a brother-in-law, Milburn John Baker.

Survivors include one son, Lee Edwin Carter and fiance' Brenda Maxwell, of Corpus Christi, Tx.; one sister, Myrtle Baker of Houston, Tx.; two grandsons, Kyle Carter and wife Carla of Edmond, Ok., and Paul Carter and wife Julie of Pauls Valley, Ok.; one granddaughter, Kay Townsend and husband, Dr. Mike Townsend, of Corpus Christi; six great-grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
