Mary Ann Ballard, 49, a native of Mathews and resident of Thibodaux, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Mathews Missionary Baptist Church in Mathews. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, John Ballard of Thibodaux; one son, John Ballard Jr. of Thibodaux; two daughters, Teresa Ray and husband, Rayford, and Rona Ballard, both of Thibodaux; six sisters, Lisa Coleman, Peggy Coleman, Melissa Williams, Michelle Coleman and Carla Davis all of Thibodaux and Rhonda Davis of Opelousas; four brothers, Robert Coleman Jr. and Prines Davis of Thibodaux, Eddie Coleman of Larose and Robert Lee of Morgan City; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Coleman Sr. and Theresa Nelson Coleman; one brother, Kelly Davis; one sister, Welma Jean Coleman; and grandparents, Melvin Coleman Sr. and Ceola T. Coleman.

She was Baptist.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
