Christina Sterner, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on March 22, 2013. She was 96. She was born on June 22, 1916 to the late John and Alice (Hussey) Collins in Glasgow, Scotland. She married her beloved husband Jack in 1942 and passed in 2003.
She is survived by her daughter Theresa Mahon, a son Gerard Sterner, and two grandchildren Brian (Tammy) Mahon, Jackie Sterner, and soon to be great grandson. She was predeceased by her son Jackie Sterner, her daughter Christine Sterner, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel 16 Shea Place New Rochelle, NY. A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery. www.lloydmaxcy.com
