Graveside services for Dorotha "Dorothy" Arthur, 78, Allen, are 2 p.m. today at Allen Cemetery, Alan Eck officiating.

Mrs. Arthur died April 3, 2006, at Ada. She was born July 28, 1927, in Hughes County to Clyde and Ruby Weaver Collard.

She was raised in the Lamar and Non areas, attended school in Lamar and graduated from Calvin High School. She lived in Blythe, Calif., for several years before moving back to Oklahoma in 1954. She lived in Pauls Valley, Seminole and Chickasha before returning to the Allen area in 1967. Mrs. Arthur and her husband owned and operated Atwood Quick Pick for many years.

She married Doyle F. Arthur in 1946. He died in 1980.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ruby Collard, and her husband, Doyle.

Survivors include two sons, Darrell Arthur, Columbus, Ohio, and Kenny Arthur, Ada; three sisters, Gladys Reeves, Allen, Hazel Carter, Ada, and Wanda Sue Black, Atwood; a brother, Carl "Sonny Boy"
Collard, Calvin; four grandchildren, Diane, Chris, Crystal and Shelby Arthur; and three great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
