Margaret was the daughter of Frank McAlpine Collin and Margaret Elizabeth Durry Collin. She married Arthur K. Bennett.

"Mrs. Arthur K. Bennett, Sr., 81, died May 14 in Marquette, Mich. She had lived at 1089 Palmetto Rd., Sylvan Shores, Mount Dora.
"Having become acquainted with Mount Dora through Mrs. Bennett's cousin, the late Emma Sears March, the Bennetts retired here in 1952. Active in community affairs, together they were part of the founding group of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Women's Association and a circle member. They belonged to the Lawn Bowling Club and the Sylvan Shores Property Owners Association. She also was a member of the Ocklawaha Chapter, DAR.
"Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Oates of East Lansing, Mich.; three sons, Dr. Matthew C. of Marquette, Capt. A.K. Bennett, Jr. (USN Ret.) of Big Bay and David M. of Negaunee, Mich.; 13 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Collin, of Geneva, N.Y., and several nephews and nieces.
"Services were in the First United Presbyterian Church of Marquette, with the Rev. Gordon Ingram officiating. Cremation took place in Milwaukee, Wis. Friends desiring to make memorial contributions may do so to the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Dora."
