Survivors include Daughters – Diana (Roger) Blanford of Greensburg, Brenda (Max) Smiley of Greensburg and Kimberly Lawrence of Columbus; sons – Ronald (Debra) Adkins, David (Judy) Adkins and Jamie Adkins all of Greensburg; brother – Lynn Collyer; 16 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Richard Collyer and two grandchildren Veronica and Misty Adkins.
Carolyn was a stay-at-home mom for many years, and then worked at various stores in Greensburg throughout her life. You might of recognized her from the candy counter at GC Murphys, as a cashier at Greensburg IGA where she worked for several years, or from Kmart where she worked until they closed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12PM on Thursday, July 20, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Decatur County. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com.
