GREENSBORO Etta C. Brady, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park following the service.Etta was born May 21, 1928 in Liberty, NC to the late Joseph R. and Lola F. Coltrane. She enjoyed working as a bookkeeper in a wide variety of work environments in Guilford and Randolph Counties, retiring at the age of 79. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the ladies' circle. In addition, she was a member of Greensboro Christian Church and was active in the "Willing Workers." Etta always supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their extra-curricular activities. She participated in the Senior Games of Randolph County and was a member and past president of Credit Women International, Greensboro chapter. Etta was preceded in death by her husband, R. B. Brady, Jr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Randolph "Bill" Coltrane, sister, Josephine Culberson and a great-grandson, Nathanael Greene Rumley.Survivors include her son, James E. Brady (Jane), daughter, Sarah-Juanita Rumley, grandsons, Sean Brady (Stephanie), Joe and James Rumley; granddaughter, Erin Oberuch (Mike), great-grandchildren, Justin and Cody Brady, Joe Rumley, Jr. and Brady Paul Rumley, and Megan and Emily Oberuch.
