NOTE: I am not positive of the correct spelling of Daisy's married surname, but you would think they would get it right on her headstone, so ........

Daisy was the daughter of Harvey Conner and Mary Anna Wagner who wed on 25 Jan 1906 in Starke Co., Indiana. I found six children for them—Mae C. (4 Apr 1906 – 8 Feb 1995), Edith E. (24 Aug 1907 – 3 Jun 1970), Alice Lavina (30 Dec 1910 – 3 Nov 1998), Henry Nelson (27 Mar 1913 – 3 Apr 1978), Daisy Marie (17 Mar 1919 – 25 Oct 1954), and Robert Henry (3 Oct 1921 – 5 Oct 1985).

Mary and Harvey's family appeared together on the 1910 Census, living on Bass Lake Dr. in North Bend Township, Starke Co., Indiana. Harvey, aged 36, was a house carpenter. Mary, aged 26, reported that she had had two children, both still living. There with their parents were May, aged 3, and 2-year-old Edith.

A decade later, the family was still living in North Bend Township. Harvey Conner, aged 44, was noted as a farm laborer. Mary, aged 37, was keeping house. There with parents were Mae 13, Edith 12, Alice 9, Henry 6, and the debut of 9-month old Daisy.

When the 1930 Census came around, the family was still in the same place. Harvey, aged 54, was back doing carpentry work. Mary, aged 47, was home with Henry 17, Daisy 11, and Robert 8. Also there was 2-year-old Betty Lou, identified as a granddaughter. Indeed, Betty Lou was the daughter of Daisy's sister Edith.

Daisy fell off the radar after 1931. At some juncture, she married Elmer Andersen/Anderson, who was in the Navy, and they moved to San Diego, California where Daisy died on 25 Oct 1954 at age 35, the cause of her death unknown to me. Why she doesn't appear on either the 1940 or the 1950 Census enumerations is a mystery.

Daisy's father died a year after she did, her mother five years after him.
