Patricia Conner Beatty, 77, of Tyler, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in Tyler, Texas.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday January 10, 2014 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas, with Deacon Ismael Guerra officiating. Interment will be at 11:15 A.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas, with Father Joseph Trihn officiating.
Patricia was born to Harry Lawson Conner and Gladys Marie Sorapure on December 7, 1936, in Panama City, Panama. She graduated from High School in White Plains, New York, and received her B.S. degree with Honors from University of Maryland. Patricia was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Patricia married John Richard Beatty on April 4, 1959. Being a military family they made their home in many places including Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Knox, Kentucky; Lakeland, Florida, Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Germany before retiring from the military. After retirement, they moved to Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1979, to further John's career. He retired from non-military employment in Altoona, Pennsylvania. They then moved to Tyler, Texas in 1999, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed volunteer work, reading, needlework and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William Conner; sister Marie Conner Gifford.
She is loved and will be missed by her husband John, of Tyler; daughters Pam Smith and husband Larry of West Tawakoni, Texas, Elizabeth Smith and husband Stanley of North Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren Kristina Faille, Amy Nix Mascoe, Morgan Smith and John Conner Nix; and great-grandchild Easton Hux.
