Margaret Lydia Connolly, 95, of North Port, FL, formerly of Springfield, died at 11:48 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at her home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1912, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Carrie Boehner Crim. She married James B. Connolly on April 6, 1929. Her parents; husband; son, James Connolly Jr.; two grandsons, Terry and Randy; three sisters; and a brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Connolly was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Connolly of Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren, Beverly (James) Swigelson of Decatur, Glen (companion, Cindy) Connolly of Sarasota, Fla., Steven Connolly of Bradenton, Fla., Ricky Connolly of Springfield and Susan (Edward) Carson of Morristown, Tenn.; 12 great-grandchildren, David (Annette) Zaske, Karin (Tim) Jilek, Debbi (Mark) Denzler, Cindy (Bill) DeKlerk, Tim Connolly, Rick Connolly and Ryan Connolly, all of Illinois, Jennifer Carson and Timmy Carson, both of Tennessee, and Dia Rivers, Steve Connolly and Stacie Connolly, all of Florida; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services at Staab Funeral Home, with family friend Felix Roth Jr. officiating. Burial in Constant Cemetery in Buffalo Hart.
