Husband of Margaret Lydia Crim Connolly
James B. Connolly, 76, of R.R. 7, Springfield, died at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Springfield, the son of Thomas and Anna DeMers Connolly.
A lifelong resident of Springfield he married Margaret Crim in 1929. Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, James Connolly Jr.; two sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Connolly was a member of Boilermakers Union Local 363 and a board member of the Senior Bowling League of King Pin Lanes. He was employed as an erection superintendent with Springfield Boiler Company and later with Clever Brook Boiler Company Milwaukee, Wis., retiring in 1970.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; one son, Ronald Connolly of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Moore of Springfield; two brothers, Leo Connolly of Eugene, Ore., and Byron Connolly of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
Services at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Constant Cemetery, Buffalo Hart.
