Francis "Frank" Marion Connolly, 69, of Chatham died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Maple Ridge Care Center in Lincoln of complications after an auto accident.

He was born May 18, 1939, in Creston, W.Va., son of the late Ralph C. Connolly and the late Etta M. Boise.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Kapp) Connolly; sons, Sean Connolly and Alan Connolly; sisters, Inez Connolly (John) Mullins, Ina Connolly (James) Blatt and Catherine (Mike) Chapin; and brother, Ralph Corneilius Connolly Jr.

He served in the United States Air Force as a master sergeant from Dec. 7, 1959 to Dec. 31, 1980, and served three tours in Vietnam.

Prayers at 3:45 p.m. will begin Frank's visitation Friday, July 18, 2008; his family will then greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 201 S. Main St., Chatham. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2008, at St. Joseph's the Worker Parish, Spruce and Prk streets in Chatham. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008. Military Honors will be accorded.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Chatham or Chatham American Legion Post No. 759.
