MRS. ELOISE COOK

Mrs. Eloise Anita Hall Cook, widely-known singer who lived in Portland until a few years ago, died Friday in a San Francisco hospital as the result of a heart attack, according to news received by Portland friends Saturday. Mrs. Cook, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Madison Michel Hall, was born in Union, Or., and came to Portland in 1906. She was married March 18, 1918, to Arthur Cook, who survives her.

Mrs. Cook was soprano soloist at Trinity Episcopal church for many years, and was soloist for the triennial convention of the general council of the Episcopal church held in Portland in 1922. She also was active in the Portland Opera association. With Mr. Cook, she left in 1944 to make her home in San Francisco.

Survivors, in addition to the widower, are a sister, Mrs. Blaine B. Coles, Portland, and a brother, Howard Madison Hall, Grants Pass.

The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of grace at Grace cathedral, San Francisco. Officiating will be Rev. Charles M. Guilbert, a canon at the cathedral, who formerly was dean at St. Stephen's cathedral in Portland. Interment will be in Portland.
