Arlene Cook, a senior customer office representative for Northwest Natural Gas Co., died of cancer Wednesday in a Portland hospital. She was 58.

Born in Portland, she grew up and was educated in Canby, later attending Northwest Business College and working at the Canby Union Bank. She had worked for Northwest Natural Gas Co. for the past 25 years. She was a member of the West Portland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Dale, Wilsonville; daughter, Deanna Cramer of Portland; son, David Sherman of Portland; stepsons, George and Steven Cook, both of Milwaukie, and Richard Cook of Portland; mother, Louise Koehler of McBride, British Columbia; sister, Bernice Lewis of Valemount, British Columbia; one grandson and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the West Portland United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
