She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Chillicothe, the daughter of John and Pearl Cook. She married Frank Brown; he died in 1974. Two children also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brown retired from S.S. Kresge Co. in 1975. She attended South Side Christian Church.
Survivors: three sons, Raymond (wife, Nancy) and Marshall (wife, Peggy) Pressler, both of Springfield, and Robert (wife, Kim) Pressler of Riverton; three daughters, Franky Sue Brown and Martha Beck, both of Springfield, and Shirley Cox of Valparaiso, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Donna Cottingham and Joyce (husband, Jack) Cook, both of Springfield; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Bisch and Son Funeral Home. Burial: Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
