Judy B. Adams, 49, of Forsyth, Mo., lost her valiant fight with breast cancer Friday, May 27, 2005. Judy's legacy is to never stop believing in God, as she remained a faithful witness until the end. She was a loving and caring wife and mother and a devoted member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson, Mo. She was a devout Christian and leaves many family members and friends in her native Mendota, Ill., and Southwest Missouri, who were very supportive in her three year battle against cancer.

Judy was a graduate of Illinois State University in 1977, where she majored in art education with an emphasis on painting and pottery. In addition, she was a cheerleader and a member of the Gamma Phi Circus. She attended Mendota High School 1969 to 1973.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen W. Adams, D.M.D., and children, Samuel R., 14, and Dani Jane, 10, of Forsyth, Mo.; a twin sister, Jane L. Youngman, brother-in-law, Jeffrey F. Youngman, nieces, Amy R. and Jennifer E., and nephew, Michael W. Youngman of Deerfield, Ill.; a brother, Larry "Sam" Cook and sister-in-law, Gayle M. Cook, of Fort Myers, Fla.; mother-in-law, Audrey M. Adams and sister-in-law, Leslie H. Adams of Belleville, Ill.; sister-in-law, Stephanie M. Jacobs, and brother-in-law, Michael D. Jacobs of Millstadt, Ill.; and sister-in-law, Sue A. Adams, and nieces, Sarah M. and Ellen C. Ghidina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Wilma Cook of Mendota, Ill.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson, Mo., with a Funeral Mass following at 6 p.m. Burial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, in Restland Memorial Cemetery in Mendota, Ill.
