MATTOON - Delphia P. Aleshire, age 83, of Mattoon, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Lloyd Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Delphia was born July 31, 1921 at Mattoon, a daughter of William and Florence Darling Cook. She married Wayne E. Aleshire July 31, 1943 at Mattoon, he passed away December 27, 1987. She is survived by her children, Ellen Humes and husband Bill, Paul Aleshire and wife Jerri and James Aleshire and wife Anna Belle all of Mattoon; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Mrs. Aleshire was a retired employee of the Mattoon Garment Company. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church, Eagles Lodge, Rebekah Lodge and Mattoon Senior Center.
