"Avery H. Cooper, aged 71, of Milford, died Tuesday in Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta. Mr. Cooper was born July 25, 1887 in the Town of Middlefield, the son of William V. and Flora Newton Cooper, and married Edna M. Roberts on January 22, 1921 in Milford. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. John Hayes, Jr. of Kingston and Mrs. David Hamwey of South Side, Oneonta; a son, Avery Cooper, Jr. of Colliers; nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday from the Tillapaugh Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Philip Pitcher of Milford Methodist Church, officiating.
