Alfred Cooper
The death of Alfred Cooper took place at about 8:30 o'clock, Wednesday morning at Middlefield Center, after a few days' illness of heart trouble with which he had been afflicted for several years. Although a resident of Middlfield Center only a short time, he was well liked and respected by all and the community in general regret his departure.
Mr. Cooper was born at Bromwich, England, August 1, 1865, and thirty-five years ago came to this country and settled at Olyphant, Pa., remaining there until two years ago. About a year ago he purchased a place at Middlefield Center and took up his residence in that place.
Surviving are the widow and three daughters, Mrs. James Larder of Alberta, Can., Mrs. Harvey Grommon of utica and Mrs. John M. Oult of Olyphant, Pa., one son, John William cooper of Cooperstown, several grandchildren, and one sister living in England, besides several more distant relatives. he was a member of the Protestant Episcopal Church at olypahnt and of the Order of the Sons of St. George.
The funeral will be held at the home Friday afternoon, the Rev. Robert Bramfitt officiating with interment in teh village cemetery.
