The death of Mrs. Alfred Cooper of Middlefield Center took place at 10:40 p.m., Wednesday night at Thanksgiving Hospital. Further obituary notice will appear next week.

Mrs. Emily Cooper
The death of Mrs. Emily Cooper of Middlefield Center, took place at Thanksgiving Hospital, Cooperstown, following an operation for appendicitis, Wednesday, June 25th, 1919.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Hayden-in-Arden, England, June 19th, fifty-eight years ago and came to America when twenty-three years ofa ge. The greater part of her life was spent at olyphant, Pa. About a year and a half ago with her husband, she took up her residence at Middlefield Ceneter and although a resident there but a short time, made a great number of friends, who sincerely regret her death. Mr. Cooper died last winter.
She was a member of the Episcopal church at Olyphant, Pa., but since going to Middlefield Center, has been an active worker in the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are four children, William Cooper of Cooperstown, Mrs.John Moult of Olyphant, Pa., Mrs. Harvey Grommon of Utica and Mrs. James Larder of Alberta, Can., and several grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the home at Middlefield Center, Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Robert Bramfitt officiating with interment in the cemetery in that village.
