Bessie Mabel is the daughter of Hugh Nicholas Craft and Mary Wright Craft, and the granddaughter of Pvt. James Frederick Craft. She married Walter Brizendine on January 15, 1913.

Bessie is the sister of Edgar Fulton, Philip Eakin, Essie Craig, Emma Effie, Earl Adair, Virgin Mary, and Recie Ethel Craft.

NEW CASTLE--Mrs. Bessie M. Brizendine, 79, widow of Walter Brizendine, died Sunday at her home.

Surviving are three sons, Woodrow Brizendine, Bland, Hugh Brizendine, William Brizendine, both of New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin Harden, New Castle; a brother, Earl Craft, Goshen; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hutchison, Goshen, Mrs. Virgie Craft, Mrs. Recie Wright, both of Covington.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cross Roads Church with burial in the church cemetery.
