Loretta Babb, 75, died January 5, 2005. Her wishes were to be cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Loretta Cram was born March 8, 1929 to Merritt and Rosella Cram in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She went to Trinity Parochial School at Fort Dodge. She was married to Franklin Roberts of Webster City in 1947. After 15 years of marriage they were divorced. She then married Earl Babb and the couple made their home in Coleman district until the time of his death in 1995. Loretta was noted for putting poems in the Expressions poetry for 47 years. She lived alone until she died.
She had two daughters, Linda Susan Roberts and Donna Mae Hoag Kemp; three granddaughters, Sarah House, Stacey Blaes and Katie Kemp; her grandson, Otto Kemp; great-granddaughters, Brianna House, Claire Kemp and Ellie Kemp; great- grandsons, Archie and Leo Blaes and Liam Kemp; her sisters, Shirley Newton of Bode and Rita Pearson of Marshalltown; and several nieces and nephews.
Loretta enjoyed life, her many friends and writing poetry. She was well liked in her lifetime and gave thanks to everyone whom passed in and out of her life and left and indelible mark upon her heart.
Memorials may be sent to the Babb family in care of Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1615 N. 15th St., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
