Carol Jean Amole of Coatesville

Carol Jean Amole, 72 of Coatesville, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late William E. Cranston and the late Bertha Halick Cranston.

Carol was a graduate of Coatesville High School. She worked at Verizon for over 20 years retiring in 2003 as an assignment technician.

Carol enjoyed traveling, dancing and going to the YMCA. She was active in the Senior Circle Group. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking her love of gardening and for having a group of friends who helped her through many difficult times. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, William S. DeMatteo and his wife Sue of Port Orange, Fla., Robert J. Amole, Jr. and his wife Christine of Gap, Pa. and Brian J. Amole of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Kristie, Danielle, Nikki, Shannon, Braedan, Delaney, Jackson and Stefan; and also survived by her sister, Barbara DiVincenzo of Conneaut Lake, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Cranston.

Interment will be private at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery.
