DEATH OF JOSEPH A. CRANSTON'S MOTHER
Mrs. Edith Cranston, mother of ex-Chief of Police Joseph A. Cranston, died at the home of her son 1002 Spruce Street yesterday at 2 o'clock, of asthma. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Cranston came to Leavenworth from Ohio ten years ago and had been making her home with her son. She leaves two children Joseph A. Cranston and William Cranston. The funeral will take place tomorrow from the home of Joseph A. Cranston at 2 o'clock p.m. The Rev. E. M. Randall of the M. E. Church will conduct the services. The interment will be in Mt. Muncie.

Mrs. Edith Cranston Dead
On Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock Mrs. Edith Cranston died at the home of her son in South Leavenworth of asthma. She had been unwell for some time, but her death was rather unexpected.
Mrs. Cranston leaves two children, J. A. and William Cranston. She was one of the early settlers of Leavenworth, and was well liked by those who knew her.
Her funeral will take place from her son Joseph's home this afternoon. Rev. Randall, of the Methodist Episcopal Church will conduct the funeral services.

The remains of Mrs. Edith Cranston were laid to rest in Mt. Muncie Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The funeral took place from her son Joseph Cranston's home were a large number of friends gathered. Rev. Randall of the M. E. Church conducted the religious services.
