Burton Cranston, 76 died Thursday morning at South Hospital after a long illness. Born February 4, 1898, in Iowa, he married Lucile Sowers, January 6, 1920, at Hutchinson. A retired farmer, he lived most of his life in the Partridge and Langdon areas.
Survivors include the widow; daughter: Mrs. Ray Wright, Holton, KS; brothers: Charles, Ft. Scott, Oren, Marion, Iowa; Sister: Mrs. Laura Smith, 1102 North Walnut, Hutchinson and two grandsons.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will be in the Lerado Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
