Carol was born March 5, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas then adopted by Ferdinand and Wilma (Hallgren) Burow. She enjoyed crafting, sewing and knitting/crocheting. She was a very talented seamstress. Carol was a perfectionist in everything that she did. She was also a breast cancer survivor.
Carol was married for over 50 years to James E. Cranston. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A wonderful foster mother, she once received the highest rating in the county. She was a member of Sunset Hills Christian Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James and her son, James (Freddie) Cranston.
Survivors include daughters, Marie Hines, Kimberley Dobbins and her husband Frank, Joanna Woods and her husband Jerry, and Mary Stremming and her husband Ron; son, James R. Cranston and his wife Karen; ten beloved grandchildren, Dellie Merry, Heather Vandewater, Dale Hines II, Frank Dobbins II, Kayla Cranston, Samuel Hines, Tiffany Woods, Kyl Stremming, Travis Woods and Nicholas Cranston; great-grandsons, Xander Briggs, Xavier Hines and Earnest Dobbins. She will be sadly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
