Evelyn M. Cronin, 100, of Roanoke, Va. since May 1970, formerly of Boston, Mass., died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Anthony Cronin Sr.; her parents; and a brother.
She is survived by her devoted son, John A. Cronin Jr.; her beloved granddaughters, Tara K. Cronin, Stephanie Cronin and Sam Stevens and Michelle and James Haley; sister-in-law, Janet Malozi.
She had a 40 year career with John Hancock Insurance at the main office, in Boston, Mass. in the sales departments and as an assistant to President Clyde F. Gay.
Graveside funeral services will be held noon, Saturday, November 1, 2008, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
