Francis Russell Cronin, age 74, of 5942 Plantation Road, NW, died Friday in a Salem hospital. He was the son of the late Jeremiah J. Cronin and Alice Leyden Cronin.
Mr. Cronin was retired for the U.S. Postal Service.
Surviving are a brother, John Anthony Cronin, Sr. and a nephew John Anthony Cronin, Jr., both of Roanoke.
Funeral services will be at 11:25 a.m. Monday from St. Andrew’s Catholic Church conducted by the Rev. Thomas Mariano. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A Liturgical prayer service will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday from Oakey’s North Chapel where friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday.
