Agathe married Claudius in Paris on 7 June 1816, shortly before they emigrated to the United States. They had at least three children: Adele, Claudia and Alfred.

She died age 78. She is buried in her husband's plot, next to Adele and Alfred, and near Claudia's grave in the Nicholas Mills plot. Her husband's remains were moved from their plot to the campus of V.M.I. in 1942.

The house photo shows the Crozet residence (1824-1832), at the corner of 1st and Franklin streets in Richmond, where her children were raised.
