MaryAnn Cuffey, daughter of the late Benjamin and Lucille Hardin, was born on January 16, 1935 in Lakeview, New York. She departed this life and entered into eternal peace on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 1:35 p.m.

MaryAnn spent most of her life in New York and attended the public schools of Freeport, NY, graduating from Freeport High School.

MaryAnn was baptized on October 22, 1944 at the Church of God, Freeport, NY and accepted Christ into her life. She served as a Missionary for many years and then answered God's call to minister. To those who knew her well, MaryAnn was considered a "Prayer Warrior". She was the First Lady of Stancil Chapel Holiness Church. She was a devoted member of the Victoria Chapter #513, Order of the Eastern Star, Rockville Centre, NY.

On June 15, 1955, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Chauncey A. Cuffey.

She worked for many years as a Home Health Aide for the Allen Aide Agency in New York. In 1990, she retired and relocated to St. Stephen, SC where she worked as a private care nurse for a short period of time.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother and foster mother to two families of four children and two adults.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ahmende Kimani Cuffey.

MaryAnn leaves to cherish her memories: her companion of fifty-two years, Elder Chauncey A. Cuffey; sons, Jerome Anthony Cuffey of San Francisco, CA and Bryan Alonzo (Rose Marie) Cuffey of St. Stephen, SC; daughters, Yvonne Ann Duke of Long Beach, CA and Sonia Michelle (Kevin) Flores of St. Stephen, SC; adopted daughter, Cynthia L. Williams; grandchildren: Shon and Shandu Johnson, Faye and Aaron Logan, Talia Lee Duke, Denarje', Keyshon, Kevyne, Destyne' and Kyzahni Flores; brother-in-law, Elder William H. (Kathleen) Cuffey; sister-in-law, Zoila H. Croker; sisters in Christ, Annette Ferguson, Carrie Cleveland, Grace Ford, Leola Haigler, Eloise Smith, Jerusha Lee, Sooley McKelvey and Catherine Ferguson; longtime friends, William and Estelle Dessaure; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
