Joseph Michael Cullinan,Major, USMC (Ret.), age 80,
beloved husband of 54 years of Melita K. Cullinan of San
Antonio Texas, died peacefully at home on February 2,
2003. Joe Mike was born in Cleveland, Ohio, raised and
schooled in Laredo and San Antonio. He graduated
from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1940 and Texas A &M
University 1949 (class of 44) with a BS degree in
Civil Engineering, served in the Marine Corps as a commissioned
officer during World War II and Korea, always a Marine.
Joe Mike entered real estate in 1973 in san Antonio,earned the AFLM and GRI designation, was active with the San Antonio Board of REALTORS, Texas Association of REALTORS, the REALTORS Land nstitute,
American Land Foundation,and taught in the GRI program.
Joe Mike held the coveted Accredited Farm & Land Member designation,
was honored as a Texas RLI Farm and Land Broker, as Farm & Ranch Specialist. He was awarded the prestigious Lifetime Distinguished
Service Award, and inducted into the National Association
of REALTORS,Omega Tau Rho honorary fraternity in recognition of
his leadership and contribution.
Joe Mike is survived by his sons, grand children and great grand children. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Marie Snelling and Joseph Lawrence Cullinan;and sister, Mary Jane Killius.
