Martha Jane Adkins, 81, of Salem and formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab center in Salem.
Born August 22, 1935 in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Charles Cunningham and Helen Mumaw Heckathorn.
Martha was also preceded in death by her husband Woodrow R. Adkins.
She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School.
Martha enjoyed being a homemaker and attended the East Liverpool church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her son Daniel Adkins of Salem; daughter, Helen Lockart and her husband Rick of OH; sister, Helen Boso of Minerva, OH; and two grandchildren Scott Lockhart and Valarie Shagnot.
In fulfilling Martha's wishes, no services are being held and private interment is today at Columbiana County Memorial Park. Her services are in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
