Nellie Kathleen "Cunningham" Aiello

Nellie K. Aiello passed away Thursday,
July 1, 2004 at Mt. Diablo Medical Center at the age of 93.

Born December 5, 1910 in Gaston, Alabama. Came to Pittsburg in 1923 and was a resident of Pittsburg for 81 years. Worked 25 years for the Pittsburg Unified School District at Parkside Elementary School in the cafeteria. Member of the Young Ladies Institute since 1929, Church of the Good Shepherd. Enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, soap operas, and her crossword books.

Preceded in death by her late husband,
Fire Captain Frank V. Aiello, daughter, Mary Lee Orlando, and grandson, Dale Orlando. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Barbara Aiello, daughter
and son-in-law, Joanie and Paul Orlando, daughter, Roselle Ancona, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday from 2-8pm with a vigil at 6pm at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Mass will be held Tuesday, 7/6/2004, 10am at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch. Contributions may be made to the Michael A. Becker Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 8636, Pittsburg, CA 94565, or your favorite charity.
