Funeral services for Gladys R. Crouch, 83, of 3 Brighton Ave., Massena, will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Msgr. Floyd J. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Private calling hours will be held at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. Mrs. Crouch died at 5 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 20, 1986) at the Massena, where she had been a patient two days. Surviving are a son, Charles of Massena; a daughter, Mrs. Nolan (Beverly) Sheldon of Nicholville; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Ethyl Murphy of Sedalia, and Catherine Currier of Massena; several nieces and nephews. A son, Dale, died in 1954. She was born Nov. 9, 1902 in Fort Covington, daughter of Dennis and Catherine LaBelle Currier. She married Willis Crouch on Oct. 1929 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Timothy P. Howland officiating. Mr. Crouch died in September of 1957. She worked as a telephone operator in Massena until 1956. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
