LAPORTE -- Augusta C. Breitenbach, 92, of LaPorte, formerly of Wanatah, died Tuesday in LaPorte Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1894 in Redkey, a daughter of Henry and Catherine (Pitzen) Daniel. She was a member of Sacred Heart Rosary Society in Wanatah. On Feb. 6, 1923 in Rome City she married Aloysius J. Breitenbach who died Nov. 1, 1972.
Surviving are three sons, Leo A. of Valparaiso, Sylvester J. of Wanatah and Brother Clarence J. of Notre Dame; three daughters, Margaret Majewski of Hobart, Sister M. Judian of Chicago and Loretta Hanson of LaPorte; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member; the Rev. Joseph E. Till officiating; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wanatah; visitation at Essling Funeral Home 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. until services Friday, with rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday by the Rosary Society; memorials to LaPorte Lions Alert System.
