Ozella (Daniel) Ariail, 82, widow of Rev. William Hamilton Ariail, died at a Spartanburg, SC, hospital June 1, 1945.
Mrs. Ariail was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.T.H. Daniel of Laurens County, SC.
On September 28, 1887, she was married to the Rev. Ariail, and was his devoted helpmeet and co-worker in the church until his death on October 1, 1918. Her zeal for the Kingdom and interest in the church continued unabated, and she was active as long as health permitted.
She was a devoted and beloved mother and step-mother.
Mrs. Ariail is survived by five daughters, Mrs. J.J. Burnett, Sr., Mrs. L.G. Rouse of Spartanburg, Mrs. W.H. Kinard of Sanford, NC, Mrs. C.L. Baxter of Beaufort, and Mrs. E.G. Littlejohn of Summit, NJ.; step-daughter, Mrs. Bessie Truesdale and her husband, Dr. R. S. Truesdale, of Greensboro, NC; step-son, D.M. Ariail of Woodruff; five brothers, C. Erskine Daniel of Spartanburg, J. C. Daniel, who recently retired after a third of a century as superintendent of the Darlington school system; Dr. J. W. Daniel of Wesleyan College, Macon; Dr. D.W. Daniel of the Clemson College faculty, and Thomas H.Daniel of Columbia.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. David A. Clyburn of Central church, Spartanburg. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
