Mrs. Ezra H. Darling
Mrs. Emogene Darling passed away very suddenly at her hom ein Hubble Hollow, Saturday evening, at 7:45 o'clock. Death came while she was sitting on the front porch talking to a neighbor. None of he family was at home at the time.
Mrs. Darling was born in the town of Middlefield May 16, 1861, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Ludlam) Webb. In 1877 she was united in marriage with Ezra Darling nad they began housekeeping on the farm in Hubble Hollow where she died. After her husband's death eight years ago, she lived at Cobleskill for five years. With this exception her entire life was spent in the town of Middlefield.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church here, uniting by letter from the Methodist church at Roseboom in April 1878, and was a faithful member of that church and its auxiliary societies as long as health permitted.
Mrs. Darling is survivied by one son, Charles, who resides on the home farm; by two sisters, Mrs. James Mahan of Cooperstown, and Mrs. Grant Hubble of hubble Hollow; eightgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at her late home on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Irvin Kelley officiating. Interment was made in the Middlefield Center cemetery.
