Mrs. Avis S. Allison, 49, of 133 Elm St., Penn Yan, died Wednesday, May 16, 1951 at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial hospital in Penn Yan.
Surviving are her husband, William; four sisters, Miss Eleanor Darling of Bath, Mrs. Theodore Gleason of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Sebel McKenna of Bayshore, L.I., Mrs. Edna McHale of Detroit, Mich., two brothers, Theodore and Clyde Darling, both of Wellsboro, Pa.
Services were held at the Thayer Funeral Home. The Rev. Don R. Boyd, pastor of the Penn Yan Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Lake View cemetery.
Mrs Allison was born in Wellsboro and had lived in Penn Yan for the past 25 years. For some time she had operated a beauty shop in her home.
