Loretta D. Baker
Oriskany ~ Loretta D. Baker, 84, of Saint Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Oriskany, [died] June 14, 1981 at the home.
She was born June 11, 1897 in Oriskany, daughter of William and Elizabeth Plukett Darling. She received her education in Oriskany Schools and married Harold G. Baker June 16,1938* in Whitesboro. He died in 1968. Mrs Baker was a member of Saint Stephen's Church; a charter member and past president of American Legion Post 40 . . . She was a member of Oneida County Rural Letter Carrier's Auxiliary and also past president of its State Board.
Mrs. Baker is survived by two sons, Dr. Carlton H. Baker of Tampa, Florida and Ronald P. Baker of Oriskany; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Baker and Janet Baker, both of Tampa; several nieces and cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday morning at 9:00 at the J. W. Dimbleby Funeral Home, Whitesboro and 9:30 at Saint Stephen's Church. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
