MACON – Iva Dean Chamblee, 87, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Paul Creech will officiate.
Mrs. Chamblee was born in Atwood, Alabama and was a homemaker. She was a member of White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church and was the daughter of the late Lillie Davis and Ira Pinkney Davis. Mrs. Chamblee was preceded in death by her siblings, Gordon Davis, Geneva Agsten, Nova Emerson and Elizabeth Harris.
Mrs. Chamblee is survived by her husband, James E. Chamblee; children, Linda Mullis, Curtis Chamblee, Robert Chamblee, Jimmy Chamblee, Billy Chamblee, Helen Barker, Nancy Bloodworth, Bobby Chamblee and Joe Chamblee; sisters, Opal Green, Syble Lee, Billie Szocinski and Helen Chamblee.
