Betty married Tom David, and they had five children. Tom worked at Everson Funeral Home and Betty was at home, raising the children.
When the children were small, one Sunday she went for a walk on a cold day in winter, carrying her coffee mug. When she did not return, her family alerted officials to help find her, hoping she would be well.
Her body was found close to the road she walked, in a culvert, having died of hypothermia, with her coffee mug with her. She was just 33 years old, and loved by all who knew her.
Tom remarried shortly after Betty died.
Betty and her husband and their family were friends of ours, and the loss of her life affected all her family and friends.
