Allan R. Davis, 59, Minot, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, in a Minot hospital.
Allan Ronald Davis was born Aug. 4, 1951, a son of Ronald and Lyda (Fish) Davis, in Rolette. He was raised and educated in Rolette, graduating in 1969 from Rolette High School.
Allan owned and operated a department store in Rolette for three years. He then went to work for Pamida, working in various cities over a 10-year span. In 2003, he moved to Minot to be closer to relatives. While in Minot, he worked for Hancock Fabrics, and currently was employed by Superpumper Inc.
Allan was an avid quilter. He enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening. One of his greatest joys was traveling to Italy to visit his special friends Pino and Nadia Carbone.
Allan is survived by: Mother, Lyda, Minot; siblings, Michael (Barb) Davis, Rolette, Paul (Sherry) Davis, Rugby, Jocelyn Malo, Sidney, Mont., Dennis Davis of Buhl, Ala., Lisa (Lance) Mohl, Minot; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Allan was preceded in death by his father, Ronald; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Dorothy Davis; maternal grandparents, John and Evelyn Fish; as well as several aunts, uncles, a sister-in-law and some nephews.
Funeral Service: Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 1 p.m., in Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Burial: Will take place at the Rolette Cemetery, Rolette.
