Daughter of William L Davis from Wales and his wife, Rose. She was the wife of George Dewey Cushing, the son of Frederick Ahlers Cushing and Josephine Brooks Fellows.

They were married 03 May 1898 in Carson City and had one daughter, Barbara Jean Cushing, Mrs Robert Lloyd Nelms

JEAN CUSHING Services Held
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Jean Cushing, member of the Washoe county court house custodial force who died at a local hospital Friday after being stricken a few hours earlier.
The rites were held at the Ross-Burke chapel at three o'clock with the "Rev. Blake M. Franklin of the First Baptist church clergyman. Burial took place in the Mountain View cemetery.
Mrs. Cushing, a native of Tonopah and a member of Utopia circle No. 286, Neighbors of Woodcraft, is survived by a daughter, Barbara Cushing Nelms and her mother Mrs. Rose McVey both of Reno. Also surviving are a sister Mrs. Roselee Espanal of Eureka and four brothers, Robert Davis of Redwood City, Calif.; James McVey of Reno, Wesley McVey of Portola and Philip McVey of Ely
