Father William Dawes

wife Susanna Mills
m. 1641 Braintree, Mass.

William arrived in Boston on the Ship Planter of London at age 15yrs, it is believed he was traveling with Daniel Hanbury 29yrs and another young friend.
The Ship arrived 6/7/1635 after a full 2 month journey, Wm. was ready to start working with bricks.

Susanna and Wm. had 5 known children to me:

They moved to Boston about 1852, and there he bought land on the east side of Sudbury Street, then known as the lane from Prison Lane to the Mill Pond. His house remained in the family for five generations, and was pulled down by the British in 1775. William received Jan 3, 1656, for work on Fort Hill.
