Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Dawkins Bailey, 93, of Mellow Valley, will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mellow Valley Baptist Church with Rev. James Owens, Rev. Dwayne Bailey and Rev. Tommy Gene Young officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Clay County Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, she had worked at Russell Manufactuing Company anbd Southland Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Mellow Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael Bailey (Gwen); 2 grandchildren, Dwayne Bailey (Susan) and Darian Bailey (Bonnie); 3 great-grandchildren, Connor, Cade and Arianne Bailey, all of Mellow Valley plus her niece, Margaret Patricia Costello (Chuck) and 3 nephews, David Ritter (Martha), Bobby Joe Wood (Patsy) and Bill Wood (Sue). Mrs Bailey was preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver Dawkins and Minnie Miller Dawkins; her husband, Theron Bailey and one sister, Jimmie Ritter.
